Home / Using JVISION / Grid / Grid Options
When you go to View | Grid
from the menu bar, you can specify various grid options (On, Off, X only, Y only, Hide, Show if on, and sizes). Changing the grid size will change the density of the dots on your screen. You can specify a grid size by selecting Grid size... from the menu.

Grid On When the grid is on (the On option is checked), you can move any item in the
diagram on the grid lines, like the picture below. The top-left corner of a class must be on the grid dot. JVISION will snap the class to the grid for you.

Grid Off When the grid is off (the Off option is checked), you
can move any item anywhere you wish. You are not restricted by the grid marks.

Grid X Only You must move items according to a vertical grid, but you can move the classes anywhere
horizontally.
Grid Y Only You must move items according to a horizontal grid, but you can move the classes
anywhere vertically.
Hide This will just hide the grid, regardless of whether the grid is on or off.
Show This will just show the grid, regardless of whether the grid is on or off.
Show If On Grid lines will only appear if the grid is on.
Snap Classes to Grid If the grid is on, then you can automatically snap an item to the closest grid line
