Select the printer type (either “Windows Printing” or “Postscript Printing”) in the Print dialog box. The “Print to File” box and the “Options” button are enabled only when “Postscript Printing” is
selected.
You can also set the Area, Scaling, and Orientation for printing. Note that when “Fit to page” is selected, options for “Area” will be disabled.

Note: When using Windows printing, the program asks Windows for a graphics context, paints on to it, and lets Windows handle the communication with the printer.
On the other hand, Postscript printing lets JVISION create a postscript file from the picture and sends this directly to the printer (or stores it as a file if you activate “Print to file”). Postscript printing to a printer will only work with printers that are capable of understanding the Postscript language. If you print to a file, there are public domain tools (such as GhostView) that can view and print a Postscript file. Under Linux, obviously, Windows printing is not available. However, GhostScript, which enables Postscript printing for printers that don’t normally support Postscript, is free and readily available for Linux users to download
and install.
