Use the line tool to connect Use Cases. UML specifies a fair amount of detail about Use Cases that you don't need to worry about at first. Draw a line from a Use Case in the direction of another Use Case that is used by the original Use Case (almost like a sub-routine) or explains an exception to the original Use Case. For example, "Find nouns" is used by both "Construct a class" and "Construct a variable".
